While researching my book "Red Card: The 2026 World Cup, Sportswashing, & the FIFA Greed Machine" (orbooks.com/catalog/red-...) I came across the dumbest op-ed in the history of sportswriting. "Hating soccer is more American than mom's apple pie." He then bashes immigrants like a xenophobic clown.

I asked Chief Communications and Content Officer Paulo Senra of @canadasocceren.bsky.social whether they are concerned with tensions surrounding USA as co-host of the 2026 World Cup, and if they have a statement about Iran potentially dropping out of the tournament.
