Not abandoning the Yugioh DM idea, but the desire to fully dive into the Pokemon verse is too strong.
7. Bobobo (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo)
Sometimes I just want to let loose and do weird, funny shit. And Bobobo is absolutely perfect for that stuff. He's the character I like that has the most multiverse potential by far. You could slot this guy into practically almost any verse and it would be a lot of fun.
6. Satan (Puyo Puyo)
So there's this fun game series called Puyo Puyo, and Satan is probably one of my favorite characters from it. I'm also a big fan of the "guy that tries to be cool but is really just a big goober" archetype.
5. Kazuma Kuwabara (YuYu Hakusho)
YYH is probably my favorite anime ever, and a lot of it is thanks to Kuwabara. I mentioned before about my love of writing heartwarming characters that used to be troublemakers, so I think I could gel well with writing Kuwabara.
4. Morty (Pokemon)
The Pokemon verse here is pretty big, and I have a lot of mutuals in that verse, so it may only be a matter of time before I take the plunge. And if I ever do, I would probably have to go with my all-time favorite Gym Leader of any region.
3. Joey Wheeler (Yugioh DM)
The man himself. By far my favorite from the original series. I just love writing guys with a heart of gold that occasionally used to be troublemakers, and Joey fits that bill perfectly.
2. Aster Phoenix (Yugioh GX)
My third favorite GX character. In some ways similar to Jaden, in others his complete opposite. Would be a fun take while not deviating too much from my experience with Jaden.

My second favorite GX character behind Jaden. Has similar vibes to Jaden that I think I could pull off really well.
