Agreed. I was an auditor in the IG community for over 32 years. This is not an audit. IGs have a mission to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse in their respective agencies/departments. I wonder why 18 of them were fired in the administration’s first week? 🤔

I guess he fired the EPA OIG in his mass IG firings. Weird, since he appointed him himself in 2020. Also, strange since the IG had pursued aggressive audits scrutinizing the IRA funding to the EPA and other Biden EPA policies.
