Ho studiato l’italiano per mille giorni! 🇮🇹
My go-to:
When I saw this headline, I thought “Do people not understand basic Newtonian physics vis-à-vis seasons?” And then I thought, horrified, “Of course people don’t understand basic Newtonian physics.”
The T is almost like a real transit system now! I have been pleasantly shocked and amazed at how much Mr. Eng has accomplished in his tenure.
“The American country's war partner, Israel, has clarified that they do not need reasons to bomb schools.”
Usually, I stand pretty united with my senators and congresswoman. In the case of COPPA 2.0, however, I cannot. The potential harm to LGBTQ+ youth, especially in this environment and under this administration, outweighs the potential benefits. @pressley.house.gov, please take care of our queer kids.
I’m sorry, but this is not a win for LGBTQ+ youth, who are more vulnerable now than ever. This piece, while from last year, explains the very valid concerns that could make life even more difficult and dangerous for queer and trans youth.

I haven’t been in Target since December 2024, and I don’t miss it.
I’m a real bear now!
They’ve been a good partner for @qtlibrary.org as well, so I’m glad our Congresswoman recognizes their role in our community.
People believe the lies they want to believe.
It’s things like this that make my work at @qtlibrary.org all the more essential in times like these. (Hat tip to @hessephillips.com for the heads up.)
#NASA just released some images from the #JWST of the Cranium Nebula. Absolutely stunning!
It’s not just young people.
OMG too much! 🤣
I mean, I know I’m up late, but the snow blowing across the street at 1:30am is a bridge too far even for me.
My sister-in-law is dancing in a charity event "Dancing with the Doctors" to benefit OpenDoor Health, Rhode Island's LGBTQ+ health center. She's making history, being part of the first same-sex couple to dance in the event (to Pink Pony Club! 🌈). We'd both appreciate your vote ($10 = 1 vote). #lgbtq
Ron says you won the Internet today.
They will keep the profit, because it’s all about squeezing every last bit of wealth for shareholders.

I’m tired of seeing Republicans with buyer’s remorse lament about “why we can’t return to the good old days of Reagan,” when our current predicament is a direct result of Reagan’s choices and political alliances. We have reached the stoney end of the road he started us down, and you are to blame.
called the LGBTQ+ community to the fight of black liberation, and vice versa.
1/🧵 Many other people can speak more eloquently about the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s life and work, but I think it’s important to note that he was an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights long before it was a mainstream Democratic party platform. He understood that civil rights are civil rights for all of us, and
Just imagine if someone said, “There’s no point in listening to music recorded before 1975,” or “We should remove all art from museums that isn’t from the 21st century.” Equally ludicrous.
There are valid critiques of what is or isn’t worth prioritizing to read or to teach (conversations we sometimes have at @qtlibrary.org), but cut-off simply by age is not one. Theme? Yes. Representation? Absolutely. But just because something isn’t contemporary doesn’t disqualify it from relevance.
Why are all these right-wing techbros so obsessed with Lord of the Rings anyway? They’ve clearly missed the moral of Tolkien’s story.
“Tulips for spring? Groundbreaking.”
Just a reminder, if you’re still on X, you are actively supporting white supremacists. (If you’re still on Meta, you’re tacitly supporting the fascist surveillance state, but that one’s a little less cut-and-dried.)
Happy birthday!
