I was fortunate to work for Dwayne McDuffie on two Ben 10 series; he was a terrific writer and showrunner. My favorites include Con of Rath, Moonstruck and Catch a Falling Star -- each one's in a different genre because Dwayne loved to push boundaries and encouraged his writers to do the same.
Yes, I got the freelance assignment thanks to Alan Burnett. And it was great fun to write.
Thank you, David! Fingers crossed. Also, wishing you great success with your new pilot!
I'm happy to report that I just signed with Evan Anglin at Zero Gravity Management. He'll work with my agent of 24 years (!) Jason Dravis, as we seek out new life and new civilizations -- no, check that -- new gigs and new kinds of employment. I'm excited to begin this next phase of my career!
I have absolutely no idea. Sorry I can't be of more help.
Bill, "The Sehlat Who Ate Its Tail" is my favorite episode of the season. Congratulations to you and David Reed for a riveting and thought-provoking script, and to the entire cast and crew for a superb production.
The Synthroid in Moonstruck was inspired by The Terminator, but I’d say he’s more like the former, an alien robot “race/species.”
I have no idea.
Hi, Arthur: I have no idea. I have not seen the episode that you mentioned from Alien Force.
My guess is, the gunship, but whatever feels right to the viewer is the correct answer. Dialog choices like this are often made up as we go along.
That's my memory of it. He's much the worse for wear, with various body bits replaced with bionic parts.
Their food and their trains beat anything we have here. Also culture, history, style, and did I mention food? Glad you're having such a good holiday.
Senator Maggie Hassan: “So, Secretary Noem, what is habeas corpus?”
Secretary Kristi Noem: “Well, habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the President has to be able to remove people from this country.”
Also, “War Is Peace. Freedom Is Slavery. Ignorance Is Strength.” #Doublespeak
I am saddened to read of Joe Biden's aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis with metastasis. Add to that the nonstop coverage of the tsk-tsk book about his mental state during his term, co-authored by erstwhile journalist Jake Tapper, and seriously, that family cannot catch a break.
Saw this while driving yesterday. My immediate thought: "too late."
It’s always nice when someone remembers an episode I wrote. (Thanks, James!) Static Shock was one of the highlights of my animation career.
My favorite curmudgeon, Keith Olbermann, made a sobering point in the A-Block of his most recent podcast. It's worth a listen. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/c...
Also, watch the documentary "Porcelain War"(www.porcelainwar.com), a combination art film and war movie that puts all of this in perspective.
I have no idea. Sorry. Also, are you the same as Arthur-DV and prservantis? All three of you keep asking questions of people who worked on the Ben 10 series.
Ben/Alien X was able to recreate the Universe *after* the Annihilarrgh detonated. So, that's probably a no. But as I've said to others (unless all of these Ben 10 questions I get are coming from one person with a lot of aliases), that's only my opinion. Your results may vary.
I have no idea. Sorry.
Yes, this is my script (how did you get a copy?), so apparently at the time, the show runner Dwayne McDuffie and I thought he could go FTL. Other show runners, like Matt and Derrick, felt differently. It isn't a matter of right or wrong, just personal taste. Besides, this is all make-believe, right?
Thank you for your kind words, and for watching the shows that I worked on over the years.
Yes, I completely agree with Matt.
Sharing with friends and colleagues who live in Los Angeles. Thanks to @srothbell.bsky.social for posting. tinyurl.com/CleanAirNotes
I only wrote one episode of The Batman, and never worked on Teen Titans. So I can't speak to any such theories.
As Russia's war against #Ukraine intensifies, #PorcelainWar is essential viewing. Part art film-part war movie, it underscores humanity's creative spirit & careless cruelty. Slava Leontyev, one of its filmmaker-"stars," and US director Brendan Bellow did a Q&A after. See this Oscar-worthy film ASAP.
This is a great list. Next time you’re adding names, I’d love to be included if possible.
P.S. They can't even bother to use the right job description. Writer is the category, fellas, not creator or director. Sigh.
