I'd vote for him over any GOP candidate in this governor's race, but he's still lousy. This isn't a fringe position either, lots of people in the local Young Dems also don't like him. But I'll take a lousy D over a fascist R and still protest when that D fucks up. Just seems sensible. /shrug

A D gubernatorial candidate told me his main opposition to Cop City was how it was built, and to me that's a nod that he's going to prioritize more police funding over less. He's deep in the Atlanta Way and that means more power to corpos and cops.

This isn't *really* the line for me on me voting for a Democrat (which is VERY different from canvassing for one) but it's something I mentally note on what I would have to be protesting them for if something went down.

This is a very minor annoyance of mine, but you don't really hear any politicians campaign on reducing police brutality. Like yeah I get it not being the central push right now, but it's not even on platform pages. It's like BLM was a fad for mainstream Democrats.
