I visited the Nike base at Ft Tilden, Queens NY w/the Boy Scouts in the ‘70s. We watched them fire a test missile over the Atlantic Ocean. Lately when I think back on it, I wonder if it was real; the idea of SAMs so close to residential areas, in NYC no less. But it definitely happened. Wild.

I know Mayor Adams really f'ed up things, but the paths in City Hall Park are super narrow and, at times, unplowed.
