The genocide in gaza was so central to the political identities of the working-class young people i have interviewed in london and rochdale - not limited to overtly 'muslim' kids either!

Yeah I always found idea of this as some middle-class preoccupation absolutely bizarre/false! I recall one 'working-class academic', bemoaning middle-class 'flag shaggers' on twitter...
