I don’t think you’d lose the actual squares if you join them up at the end, cos you can just unpick the join if it goes wonky 🤭

Yeah, I think with join as you go you like crochet the squares into the blanket, I’m not sure, I’ve never actually tried it 😆

Depends what you’re after. Joining as you go tends to be quicker but gives a looser join, while joining after can be more secure but takes a bit longer. I think it comes down to personal preference 🤭
