This evening, President Trump is ordering 400 members of the Texas National Guard for deployments to Illinois, Oregon, and other locations within the United States. No officials from the federal government called me directly to discuss or coordinate.

DHS released a glossy ICE raid video straight out of an authoritarian playbook: helicopters over Chicago, 900 people swept up, children separated, citizens detained. They call it “Operation Midway Blitz.” I call it despicable state propaganda masking terrorist constitutional crimes.

From 2019 through September 2025, the largest group is people with criminal convictions, with much further down people with pending charges. But starting in January, those without criminal records spikes dramatically. In July it crossed pending charges and in the latest data it jumps above criminal convictions.
