I understand why chatbot cheating happens but every time I read about it I want to gently remind everyone that the point of schoolwork is not for the submission to exist. Teachers are not just greedy for more essays or solved equations. The point is to do the work WITH YOUR OWN BRAIN, FOR LEARNING.

Bus lanes do NOT earn money

Bus lanes exist to improve traffic flow and allow more people to get where they want

The fine is an incentive to get car owners to allow the bus lanes to work properly

It's almost as if chatbots were invented to prevent people learning how to use their brains

The only solution to homeless people on our streets that has worked anywhere is providing homes for them

The push back I'm getting for my opposition to Move On orders is that they are only for (already illegal) behaviour like harassing others on the street, demanding money, assaults etc. The Ministerial statement from yesterday is v clear. This is the big lie

We can staff all those services we used to - we are still a relatively wealthy country

But the governments we elect keep choosing to give that wealth to the rich donors instead of paying nurses and teachers

It is a deliberate choice

We can't complete with the big shareholders

That's one of the major problems with not taxing wealth - the wealthy can always buy more shares/property/MPs than ordinary folks

Once, govts were responsible for everything we did. Roads, rail, education, health, airlines, phones, power, libraries...

Then we privatised and sold off all the money-making stuff but kept the bits that didn't make money.

On Move On orders - I've been in some of the meetings with Ministers about city centre safety issues in AK; it has repeatedly been discussed that the people doing the anti-social behaviour and the people who are visibly homeless on our streets are usually NOT the same people.
