So the Lovely Bride and I have been taking in a number of plays over the past few weeks. Reviews are on my blog, but this is the one you should go see.

A smaller, more intimate performance in the wake of the last one I wrote about, but still, very, very good.

Some books about Seattle -

It has been a week since the election, and I finally feel comfortable posting the semi-official results. This is Washington State. This is normal.

They are still counting ballots out here, so have a game review in the meantime.

Have another book review - without a movie this time.

Have a review of a book and a movie - two taste treats in one!

So I had the opportunity to spend the evening with a Count. Here's a review:

OK, Seattleites, there is an election coming up on us quickly, and on my blog, I go through my ballot for you enlightenment and amusement. I also include a buncha links to other people's endorsements. It all starts here:

Time to meet Jeetra, from the upcoming ESO Seasons of the Worm Cult Part 2, as penned by ESO Senior Writer @jeffgrubb.bsky.social!

(And Bluesky does not lend itself to long-form storytelling).

Ed took Volo and expanded out his name in Greenwoodian fashion. The artist Clyde Caldwell was the model for the covers of the books. And Volo bounced around a lot in the Realms, to everyoneβs amusement.
And thatβs β¦ the rest of the story.
When TSR wanted to produce digest-sized guides to the various locations in the Realms, I volunteered the name.
And Voloβs personality and being an unreliable narrator meant he had to move around a lot. Hence the various Voloβs Guides.
So, in a shared D&D campaign, we had a mapmaker who hired the player character to go out and explore and bring information back. Which he promptly published and put his name on (like Amerigo Vespucci).

And now β¦ the REST of the story.
Volo is a small town on the Wisconsin/Illinois border. In the 80s it was on the road from Lake Geneva to Chicago, so we passed through it a lot. And it was the home of Volo Bog. And the Volo Auto Museum. And a lot of other local businesses, all branded βVoloβ.
A weekend of plays in Seattle, by talented women.

Huh. The two Blizzard books I wrote for Simon & Schuster are listed as being published by the World Wrestling Federation.

The Seattle Rep's season kicks off with a chaotic comedy. And I find my late mother-in-law's seat in the balcony.
