Then I showed them the new privacy policy & TOS: there were audible gasps in class about it.

If Homan is coming to the Twin Cities, can we just pool up some money from like a hotdish/meet raffle and bake sale, stuff it in a duffle bag and them bribe him to get ICE out of Minneapolis?

Asking for 3.6 Million or so of my local friends.

Apropos of the TikTok news last week, I have a piece coming out abt how the Supreme Court's decision to uphold the ban-or-sale law belongs in the First Amendment anticanon. It's not just wrong, but so wrong we should hold it up as an exceptional symbol of wrongness.

I'm so glad the Supreme Court basically nuked 90+ years of prior restraint precedent and strict scrutiny for internet content in order to protect digital privacy so that we could end up with this new, and somehow even worse, TOS from the new owners of Tiktok.

I know Journalism is hard work, but asking a simple question:

"Why are you lying?"

...would do wonders for your credibility as a journalist, and as a contemporary bonus, would result in massive amounts of that precious social media engagement you crave like Gollum and the one ring.
