A couple of days midweek spent at Gib Pt in easterlies; not the hoped for scarcity bird-wise, but not bad either, the highlight being potentially a reserve first in a Vagrant Emperor hunting the dunes.

Falsterbo offers some excellent views of commoner species migrating / irrupting...

Juv Pallid Harrier from Falsterbo last weekend

Just a morning left at Falsterbo tomorrow, but some stuff again today, highlighted by Pallid Harrier, Long-tailed Skua and 10 u-turning Nutcrackers.

Some better general raptor passage too, though still far from classic conditions.

Their excitable flocks were wizzing past at eye-level into a strong head-wind today, then climbing south.

The highlight of this morning's watch at Nabben was the first Black Scoter for Falsterbo, picked out by David Erterius coming south.

20 minutes on the side of a cycle path at Falsterbo...a hoped for Black Woodpecker and then an unexpected Nutcracker flew past

More quality over quantity again at Falsterbo today: Tawny Pipit, heard only Richard's, 3 Caspian Terns and Lesser Pecker, with supporting Marsh Warbler and Gropper in the reedy fringe. Up to 133 for the trip list with a few days left.

More variety at Falsterbo today, with some added quality: highlights were Rosy Starling, Serin, 2 Dotterel and Hen Harrier amongst the usual masses of raptors, pipits and wagtails. 118 species so far on the peninsula.

Lots to see, if not classic weather, a Barred Warbler probably the pick for scarcity so far.

11 Caspian Gulls at Leadenham Tip this evening, likely county record...3 juv, 3 1s, 4 2s and a 3s. Also 6 YLG.

Just flushed this Bedstraw Hawkmoth at Gib Pt. A first for me, and still showing.

Frampton Marsh early doors - Male Hen Harrier, 5 Little Stint, 2 Spotred, 30 Spoonbill.

Leadenham Tip - 5 Caspian Gull, 10 YLG, 3 Ruff.

What took up most of my interest at Leadenham was this ringed fuscus-type.

Everything in the field seemed good, but seems like it's likely intermedius, being ringed as a 4cy+ near Stavanger.

A record count for me of 8 Caspian Gulls at Leadenham Tip this aft alongside 15 YLG. Not sure what the county record is.

3x juvs, a 1s, a 2s, 2x 3s and an adult, some showing quite well, and a few yellow rings I couldn't read.
