#GirlIGuess Preseason Power Rankings for the 8th Congressional District are here!! Next week is IL-9, followed by IL-2!

Power Rankings will be redone in November and January as the race continues to take shape.

For those who want to be in the know, check out this handy guide to how the Guide manages our Congressional endorsements! The numbers show that the majority of Democratic voters share our position! We MUST demand that our elected officials represent, at bare minimum, the views of the Electorate.

Many folks have asked, so we're answering! #GirlIGuess has handled Federal elections differently than local since October of 2023, and we're excited that we may be able to issue more than two Chicago/Cook County Congressional endorsements this year!

moving forward I would like to see dems gum up the works every way possible. No unanimous consent, full votes on every tiny piece of business. I don't expect everyone to have the stamina to do a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, but many lengthy floor speeches. Just slow everything down to a crawl.

The right-wing culture warrior got 11.9% of the vote and ended up in 5th place (out of 6)
The pro-DEI liberal got 23% of the vote and won a seat on the City Council

DuPage Dems Chair here… we’re leading in 48 of 49 partisan races and only down in the one by 35 votes. Several of our townships have never had an elected Dem, and it’s sweep after sweep tonight.

I couldn't find anything listing it (sources like the City Clerk might list it tomorrow) but this is the vote pulled from the Council Meeting video, although 3 votes are missing (only 49 total cast, I think Reilly was absent)

I think you're getting your information about what I write from the rumor mill, rather than from the actual words on the page, and that's very unfortunate.

And inconsistencies, which she never did, so I published what I had. She never denied that the copy of her resume I obtained was legitimate, and in that resume she says she worked in "public affairs" for Uber. If you read the Guide, you'd see I actually NEVER said she was a lobbyist for Uber...

As for Kate Doyle, I don't think you actually read the Guide. I said that she has extensive ties to Uber, and when she reached out to me I responded and sent her followup questions which she ignored. I still published her initial statement! But I asked her to clarify several issues...

I talked to a TON of surrogates for Anusha’s campaign to find out as much as possible, and while I agreed that she's progressive & I think highly of her, nobody had a good answer for the residency issue. Raeghn covered that race, I sent them my research & agreed with their decision to not endorse.

Anusha lived in the suburbs until very recently, and public records prove that. She was paid by Nabeela Syed's campaign in 2022 to a Palatine address, also public record. She lives in the City now, but 2 years and no real experience with CPS is a bad resume for a School Board member.

That's a pretty serious accusation! What did I allegedly "make up" about Anusha and Kate? Clearly, you're salty that your candidates of choice didn't do better, and you're looking to blame me rather than their clear campaign deficiencies.
