The political right: endlessly attacks higher education, casts professors as liberal elites and students as Marxist and antisemitic.

Also the political right: why is the public losing confidence in higher education? It must be DEI and lady presidents.

Ben Sasse, runs a university in a state where the government regime has actively muzzled the ability of faculty or students to talk about race and gender. Sasse has done absolutely nothing to defend state suppression of campus speech.
And The Atlantic editors did not see this as disqualifying.

After Roe fell, I recall being *expressly* told that anyone who needed an abortion on medical grounds wouldn't be denied and that assuming they would be was irrational and hysterical.

And now there's been two stories in the past week of women being tortured instead of receiving medical care.
