You can have complete disdain for them and also recognize that many of them are going to be in the same boat as us because the impact is huge. More than what you can exist.
And I think what's true is that some people need to step back. there are folks who are capable and being able to do this work and there are some who can't. Understandable. Know your limits
People can tell when you delight in the cruelty inflicted on them.
And too many people project their anger at a perpetrator of harm onto the victims instead.
I’ve interviewed a lot of victims stayed in an abusive relationship because they worried their loved ones would judge them for not leaving sooner. They needed support and they knew they would get ridicule instead.
And that’s something I’m thinking about a lot in this political environment.
I went grocery shopping with a friend at an Asian supermarket and he mentioned how concerned he was about what the tariffs would do to markets like that one.
I want to scream. They give us a deadline. A short deadline. But then the platform to submit is keeping everyone out. Wtf????

Fuck age. It's about mindset & access to power. It's about what you are willing to do to save this country. And if you want to sit on your hands then you can go do that shit at home. Young or old, take your ass home with that bullshit.
Side supporting trump. Youth is not a cure and I would like for us to release ourselves from that belief.
It's also true is that those members in the democrats, young or old, who are not aligned with what the people need have got to go. The ones who want to tweet instead of fight gotta go.
People don't want to hear this but yes its absolutely ageist to say "our politicians are too old, we need younger people who will get it." Because the assumption is that all younger people are progressive. Younger people are supporting Musk right now. Younger people are on the right wing

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.
“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.
NEW: Trans women in federal custody were placed in solitary and told they were going to be moved to men's facilities days after Trump's exec order. Other trans folks have issues accessing HRT.
Advocates fear this is just the beginning.

A very smart colleague just pointed out the grim truth that the U.S. leaving the WHO may ultimately be a win for the rest of the world. Why? Because without a vote, “the US can't block WHO actions like vaccine programs, disease surveillance, contraception, etc”. Man, that is daaaark, but accurate.

Contact your MoC, esp if they're a Dem. Contact a relevant advocacy group. Contact the press, local, regional, movement, trade - and not just for an LtE, for a story.
