I get what you're saying but I think you're suggesting something that would blur's the HOF's mission which is 1) tell the story of the game and 2) recognize the best from the major US leagues, leaving recognition of the best of foreign leagues to other Halls.

After MLB's seized control of the player tracking tech biz, the league missed its Jan 15 deadline for approving vendors. Teams don't know long they can use their tech to scout players. Some firms don't know if they'll have a baseball business.

and the Hall isn't solely about MLB. Fantastic new exhibits on Negro Leagues/Black baseball, women's baseball, and the cultural exchange with Japan in recent years

it's the only other HOF I've been to. Thought it was cool and that it does some things well, but it doesn't have the mindshare that the Baseball Hall of Fame has. A much higher % of baseball fans have opinions about the Hall, which works out well for me
