Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor Anne Hidalgo’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

Without residents with spending power living in the city, the centre is doomed. Sadly, curreny council policy exacerbates the issue. It's been known for decades, nothing new.

This is really sad to hear. We live in the city 24/7 and try and shop in the city. But the options are smaller every year: Laura Ashley, Debenhams, now LOccitane - all places I used to shop in. BT here often don't have what I'm looking for, so I go to Arnotts or order from them.

I'd love to know what happened to the position of Limerick City Centre Revitalisation Manager, set up in 2020. We had covid and Celia Larkin is now in a different job in the council (v bad timing), but has the position been completely scrapped?

Opening the bus lane on O’Connell street to car traffic will do nothing except make the city an even more hostile place to pedestrians. This “survey” is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in a while. Anyone can vote and you can vote multiple times 🙈🙈

Hands off O'Connell Street, #Limerick bus lane. One councillor suggested, "Let's give it a go." How about taking the correct approach and doing a traffic survey first?

The Cllrs in #Limerick are just so fucking frustrating. They spent ages ripping plans for O'Connell St of any real improvements for pedestrians & now after lots of time & money they're trying to rip out the bus lane for the Xmas. Any progress is just offensive to most of them.
