At the start of this season we had hired a manager who no one had heard of and expectations were low. Now, at the end of the season we have made the playoffs comfortably. Recent form is a worry but let’s get behind this exceptionally talented young team and see how much further they take us #safc

Only Sunderland could have a goal ruled out in VAR fashion when VAR isn’t being used. Still utterly perplexed by the officiating in that game but relieved it hasn’t cost us. Big gap opening up between us and the last playoff place. Time to start looking at those automatic spots. #SAFC

Made harder work of that than we should have done against a struggling Pompey side. Still, another 3 points and we keep in touch with the automatic promotion spots. #SAFC

After the win at the weekend I’m really looking forward to the game tonight. There’s always a special atmosphere for games under the lights. Always brings back happy memories stood in the Roker End as a young kid cheering the lads on. #SAFC

Weekends are always sweeter after a good home win and 3 points. Great to see another of our academy players performing so well in the first team. In years gone by our talented youngsters would have been sold for a quick profit. Feels like we are building something special. #SAFC

Proper football is back today! Given all our injuries and suspensions it would be great to come away from Millwall with a point. But this young team are fearless so you never know, hopefully they continue to surprise everyone this season. #SAFC

Both are excellent full backs but of the two Cirkin is Premier League class now. Also, the partnership he’s built with Mundle has been a joy to watch so far this season.

09 has been a revelation this season. His partnership with Mepham is a big part of our success so far this season. Clearly has outstanding leadership qualities both on and off the pitch.
