Today I'm releasing probably the most important scholarly thing I've ever worked on - a report based on talking with 144 people about why they don't vote or only vote regularly, and on what needs to be done to build a democracy that can include everyone.

I was the only freshman in an upper level neurosci class my first year fall. At first there was two of us and the other had the good sense (and probably advising) to drop. Fought for my life all semester to maintain a C then failed the final so failed the class. Didnโt need the class AT ALL.

Democrats lost while doing everything the left was begging them not to do, and now most of them have concluded that this means that it was a mistake to listen to the people they ignored and to run the campaign they didn't run, and must now pivot to doing more of exactly what they did when they lost.

Hmm I think about free will not as a mistake but as a precursor to faith, maybe? If the world was perfect, what would faith look like? If there wasnโt a possibility of things going wrong, why believe in miracles or a God that can move on your behalf?
