The Wobble is real.
Bonk without getting Bonked is the key to good swording. We keep trying to trick our opponent into not bonking us while we bonk them, but it isn't easy! Join us tonight while we continue this lesson. 7pm at BDCH.
Fencing fun from last night. Working on Feints and Deception all month, how to get tricksy.
Join us every Tuesday, 7pm at BDCH. First class is free and we have plenty of gear to loan and get started with!

It's Tuesday, let's do a HEMA with friends! Bonnie Doon Community Hall @ 7pm. Never done a hema? Come on out, first class is free. We've got swords and more to share!
Twenty Two (22) people out for class last night! Twenty two! Wow. It was a busy but wonderful night of swords with friends. Thanks to @ironnosy for the excellent picture.

Congrats Matt!
We continue our lessons on attacking to seize the initiative this week. It's cold out there, nothing like a warm jacket and vigorous swording to warm up! Join us, 7pm at BDCH.
New month means new training focus! February is Attacking for Initiative month. How we can use that first all important moment to set the terms and control the engagement. Join us! 7pm at BDCH.
A cool slo-mo from last night's drills. Alex cuts, Steve parries and sends a riposte quickly back at Alex's hands. Does he land with the tip there? Hard to tell but it's badass anyways.
It's Tuesday! That means class time! 7pm at BDCH. You too can be cool like Mike is in this pic. Or mostly get bonked like Grey is, but we all start somewhere. #hema #historicalmartialarts #goose
You shoulda seen the spatula cutting at our Holiday Shenanigans event. Cale sliced and diced. Maybe coulda made julienne fries... ;)
Sometimes you gotta just boop those hands. Tasty fingies. Working on drills last Tuesday on taking and defending hand shots from low guards.
Laury has very few photos of him fencing, since he's always the one behind the camera. The Fiorist among a bunch of KDF folks, he has to somehow convince he friends that grappling isn't a dirty word. He also needs to work on his footwork, constantly.
Our training officer and MS3227 knowledge hose, Eric has been at this hema game for many years. Eric also writes a fencing blog at swordandpen.substack.com
He's really good.
Cale is our resident Tallest Boi and exceptionally good fencer. A Meyerist, instructor, and board member, he's also slayer of many bottles of water. If there is anyone who would win a cutting competition with a spatula from EHMA, it's likely him.
Have you seen our Goose-based hema around? We have Mike, and his wonderful grandma, to thank for our honking nonsense. Plus he has plenty of excellent Meyer knowledge, and handles our dollars and cents. Thanks Mike!
Honk.
Let's begin the BlueSky erra out right, with our Golden Blade Goose. The trophy for thr Team Relay event at the past 3 Goose Tournaments.
