Work continues on String Quartet #1

I'm not a picture-taker. I write music. However, there's no way to post a sound file here on Bluesky. The only option is to link to YouTube or SoundCloud or Band Camp. I wish BlueSky would change that.

How about; every State Governor that's willing, round up all the Jan 6th criminals in their state. Throw 'em in prison and charge them with a State crime. Have actual jury trials. Give them due process. They a public defender if they need one. If found Guilty, deport them to some country in Africa.

I'm afraid that so far, with the sole exceptions being the closing of Trump University and E. Jean Carroll, that he has never suffered a consequence for anything he's done that's illegal. Ever. He got away with Jan. 6th. What is the law if it's not enforced?

The Federal and State judicial systems in the USA proved beyond a shadow of a doubt, during the four years between his two terms, that they are utterly incapable of enforcing anything on the guy. Convictions mean nothing without sentences. He suffered no consequences for Jan 6th. None. Zero.

Oh I have plenty of friends who told me: "Trump says he doesn't. know anything about Project 2025" back six months ago. They were annoyed at my alarm over the whole thing.

.....and they still think that the Orange Nightmare can do no wrong.

We deported this person by accident, we know he' not in a gang or a criminal but it's not our responsibility to correct our mistake and bring him back.
Because....legal mumbo jumbo.

Remember 48% of the voting public of the USA think this is just great.

I visited your Brutalist Music stream on YouTube last night. I absolutely can hear/imagine a lot of your stuff performed on acoustic, traditional instruments, live. Many of the synthetic sounds you use are reminiscent of acoustic instruments.

I've thought for a while now that a possible contemporary use of thoroughbass would be as a basis for contemporary improvisation. Imagine a lead sheet with figures instead of chord symbols. I doubt it would gain any acceptance in jazz or popular music, but there's no reason it wouldn't work.

I am no expert on the topic so commenting on thoroughbass as a uniting element throughout the Bach family is a bit beyond me. I mean, it was there, you find it all over the Baroque and earlier, Telemann, Corelli...so all over Europe, so there's that. It's not unique to the Bachs.

I'm a clarinet player these past 57 years, with a lot of saxophone and even some trumpet thrown in. However, since I manage a string orchestra and sometimes conduct it, it seemed to me that I ought to learn something about a string instrument. So I'm enrolled in "class violin/viola". I utterly suck.

Well, JS Bach's music is pretty different from all his son's music. CPE Bach wrote stuff quite different from his father. So, do you mean JS Bach, or do you asking my opinion about a thread continuing through two or three generations of Bachs??

Yes. I'm the manager/founder/board member/asst. conductor for a string orchestra. Sometimes one of the two principal conductor will program a piece of mine, and sometimes one of the quartets, or quintet with piano...or quintet with me on clarinet will play something on a chamber music concert.
