Did the Carlsbad Marathon on Sunday. What a beautiful course! Got to see my girls several times on the course! This slow, trudging trail runner was very happy with my time!

Fat Ox 12 hour ultra done! Beautiful day for us runners! I ran a personal best and felt decent the whole time. I’m not a fast runner anymore so just staying consistent is a win for me.
Now to recover. I may or may not have just housed some Taco Bell.

This is called a chainfruit cholla - for obvious reasons.
You don’t want to get to get too close as it’s also called the jumping cholla - the cactus easily latches onto you and it not fun to remove!

It’s 2024. We have cars that drive themselves, AI, and robotics used in surgery, yet no one has yet made a padded sports bra where the pads don’t get all messed up every 👏 single 👏 time I wash them. 😖
