I work in health policy for a cancer charity. The views expressed here are probably recycled

Going to really miss Tim and Ed enthusiastically shouting random words and numbers when this is all over.

Donate to Duvet Know It's Christmas, 2025, organized by Rhodri Marsden Unbelievably, it's the 15th year of this thing. What is it? Improbably, the nig… Rhodri Marsden needs your support for Duvet Know It's Christmas, 2025

Unbelievably, #DuvetKnowItsChristmas generates such good will on social media that over the years we've raised somewhere approaching a quarter of a million quid for homeless charities. If you can spare a bob or two, sling some to Centrepoint, and here's the link: www.gofundme.com/f/duvet-know...

My parents business was only saved in its early stages by having a good relationship with their bank manager. When the relationship changed and it became so much more automated they lost that support as independent decisions just weren’t made. The business survived and now employs 30+ people.

It’s a relatively minor thing but, checking in via the British Airways app to be directed to a webpage which advises you to download the British Airways app is really rubbish UX

Read it for the first time this year. Hard not to see all that’s happening now in the US as vindication for so many of his arguments

South Gaza: Tents, Food & Water **With Famine on the rise, we will significantly lower tent purchases and focus on food (rice and bread) and water over the next couple of weeks**

I don’t know what to do. But Felicity Cloake recommended these people, the Sameer Project, so I’ve just donated and wanted let others know they can too.

People being spotlessly clean in period dramas is one of my biggest bugbears. It’s also one of the many reasons I loved Deadwood so much.

Delighted to be listening to Bombshell again. Thank you @emsetc.bsky.social et al. - it’s a level of analysis and thought into defence I just don’t encounter anywhere else. All while being fun and whatever the opposite of pompous is.

John McDonnell was on Today espousing the same. Found it bizarre hearing Nick Robinson actually ask ‘what advice would you give Rachel Reeves’

A Christmassy KC - Day 18

No festive season would be complete without a reminder of Tony Blair's 2014 festive 'Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough' expression on the family Christmas card.

I really enjoyed this. Have often thought I/we as a society would be so much better at recycling if I/we actually understood the process at all. But there seems to be little or very poor public education about what happens to our waste after we bin it.
