I don't think Clorinde beats full Foul Legacy Childe either (unless Cass's got some shit hidden in the Hunter swordsmanship) but it is very interesting that they claim Clorinde was overshadowed in the AQ, and the solution they thought would make it better is for their fave to beat her in a fight

since Neuv couldn't even protect his nation himself (this is a long story), yada yada and I was like damn I glaze some chars too but this is beyond my paygrade okay. Childe fans are scary 🙁

made the mistake of adding "but he found stronger opponents in Fontaine now" (Neuv). Then I got a whole essay in response saying how the duel had been foreshadowed and implied with literary devices (he said 2 sentences about it); Childe doesn't want to fight Neuv bc he doesn't respect him

It's pretty stupid. Someone complained they couldn't take Clorinde being the undefeated duelist seriously bc Childe would've beaten her and the story set her up to duel and lose to him but didn't follow through. I thought the salt was something Childe would say so I joked about that but

If anything I think the early slog definitely barred some ppl from appreciating what the story was offering, bc I've seen a lot of complaints abt how the banana monkeys turned them off

I'm still mixed on the quest as a whole. On one hand the themes discussed are fascinating. On the other the monkeys are absolutely infuriating. Maybe it's part of the point, but didn't make it any less grueling to get through.
