If you enjoyed the classic GameBoy Zelda games, I recommend playing Saga of the Moon Priestess. It’s relatively short, but it’s a good indie game and is currently on sale for $3 on PSN. I played it on Xbox when it launched and it was an easy 1000g, so it’s an easy platinum for those interested.

Both are aristocratic, princesses of a sort who fight for what they believe in, who have a family-loss related revenge arc that leads them to be manipulated and fall into a degree of darkness and fight their way out of it

Whatever the flaws of their shows, both get a lot of dislike that is quasi-misogynistic, and their lack of femininity at certain points (whilst remaining largely feminine coded visually) is specifically criticised in acts and in looks

Then we have that way the two of them are treated by a lot of "fans" of the old and new versions of their franchise, which is to say, badly

And that's because they both have classically male arcs in their new show, and aren't the same as their future selves, in part

And then there was pushback from some discovering the younger, rasher, angrier versions, who are still leaders but in a more action sense

But we can still see the similarities to their older versions

We knew them both in their older, wiser and more measured, more regal forms first

And we can see a lot of similarities between older Cait and older Galadriel, both leaders with oversight, more calm, more joyful in a way

The first is that we know them each pretty well, with some clear consistencies but also character differences between iterations, from two separate visual media

We were lucky enough via our employers to access Petals, a baby loss grief counselling service, who have been immensely helpful and helped us heal so much. But due to funding and availability, many many parents won't be able to access services like Petals.

Especially after the first, Isaac, in December, but also Lucas in July, the first few weeks were particularly difficult emotionally with so much grief to process whilst continuing with our lives.

Sadly, as many of you know, my wife and I have lost two babies/pregnancies this year, which has been really tough and in many respects we are still (and will continue to be) recovering and relearning from.

Next March, I'm running a half marathon, my first in years, for Petals, the baby loss charity. I've committed to raising £500 for them after they've helped us so much in our own losses, and would be hugely grateful if anyone was able to spare some money to donate.

Then Cait and Amity themselves are both serious, but can be quirky and lovable, intense, & their stubbornness & perfectionism initially makes them seem spoiled and standoffish until their Love Interest and the audience see more of them and their inner compassion and insecurities
