What happens when our lake can’t breathe?
In Lake Winnipeg, excessive algal blooms do more than turn the water green. They contribute to fish die-offs and harm aquatic life. When fish disappear, birds and turtles struggle too.
Protecting our water protects the wildlife that depends on it.
Letters are going out and momentum is building. The CEC can only review the hog industry if the Minister directs it, and that step has not been taken. Lake Winnipeg deserves transparency.

We’re looking for volunteers to help collect water samples at sites across Manitoba. Sampling is quick (about 5 minutes), done safely from a bridge, and training and equipment are provided.
