We have cold air conditioning, a gorgeous pool to dip our feet in, food and drinks, a big yard for the dogs, in a house on property that’s owned free and clear, that has a generator and well. I never really had a home growing up but if this isn’t a home, I don’t know what is. He wants us to be here.

Our air conditioner went out, so in a crazy twist of fate, we actually have to stay at Matt’s dad’s house tonight.

I think this is what he wanted his house to be for: a place his kids can always go no matter what.

It never seemed like a good time to get off benzos so my doctors and I decided we would just do it in 2026. I felt hopeful in January when I started titrating down. Now it’s March, shoe after shoe keeps dropping, shit keeps flying off the rails, but I’m still here, going down.
