I always enjoy watching sports and this year proved no exception. As we head towards the NFL playoffs I hope the Buffalo Bills win the Super Bowl--it would be great to see my friend @yopauliefl.bsky.social, a lifelong Bills fan, get to celebrate that moment.
The world lost some big names this year. We will immensely miss them. I still can't believe that Brian Wilson, Ozzy Osborne, Diane Keaton and Robert Redford are no longer with us. The Charlie Kirk assassination was a terrible moment for our country.
Any year that sees music releases from The Beatles and Taylor Swift is proof that there were some good tunes released. The Life of a Showgirl may be my favorite Taylor album and the reissue of The Beatles Anthology on both audio and video was awesome.
I saw some great films this year, the most recent one being Marty Supreme. What a movie! I know the film industry is in a weird place due to this contest between streaming and in-theater experiences, but if you just focus on the films there are some good ones out there.
I spent some more time at the theme parks, including 2 visits to Epic Universe. My experiences there were extremely positive and I think Monsters Unchained may be the greatest ride I've ever been on. I can't wait to go back.
So here we are, at the end of 2025. I always look at a new year as the start of fresh opportunities...for now I'll take a moment to look back...in 2025 I went on my first Disney cruise. I had heard how amazing the experience was but it exceeded my expectations. It was fantastic!
