Ha, that’s ok! I had the book on my shelf for ages (bought it bc of the film poster cover 🫣 big fan of Saoirse Ronan), then I watched the movie on a whim and it blew me away. I assumed the book would be so much better but I think it’s the actors that made me appreciate the story so much.

Great list! I got today “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind “ because for some reason I didn’t have it on dvd. I don’t have an account but I always recommend “Head on” (Gegen die Wand) and “Inside I’m dancing”

We don’t need YA-ssified classics, we want classics with annotations, beautiful illustrations and handwritten letters. #booksky

There are so many examples of “different” covers that are so well executed. The new Penguin edition is just not it. #booksky

“Modern” covers can be done if they correspond well with the story (even when they’re not “historically accurate”)

There’s a quiet elegance of the “old fashioned” covers of the classics. Not all the books need a modern romance/cartoon style covers and there’s no need for new editions just so they can match the bookshelf “aesthetic” #booksky
