So excited to see them live this summer! I’ve only been waiting for the entire time I’ve been listening to music.

Good point! Overall lack of support from the acting branch.

Not a great movie per se, but it was fun. Nicole at her movie star best, Chris O’Donnell at his most promising, Val Kilmer returns to prominence, Jim Carrey bringing new context to his camp, and Tommy Lee Jones eager to rip him a new one. The folklore!

I’m thinking how Parasite was lacking precursors. I believe 1917 won PGA. Can’t remember how the other precursors were split off-hand. Kind of crazy that 1917 nearly won but hasn’t endured that way plenty of non-BP winners have.

I’d say PTA is a lock. I’d give OBAO an 80% chance of winning BP.

I’d bet on Penn & Taylor if I had to, but wouldn’t want to put money on anyone.

MBJ doesn’t feel quite right but he’s got momentum and the movie’s momentum is steady and possibly building.

I don’t see a path for Moura given the movie is unlikely to win anything else and doesn’t have broad popularity plus it’s an understated performance, though I loved it myself. A Chalamet comp would have to be Casey Affleck whose momentum was waning amid scandal and lost SAG but came through.

Except it feels like a cruel joke in the Midwest where it’s still effing cold. But you can enjoy.

There are still some text books but asking them to do the work of covering them with anything that would require work is way too much of an ask.

1) PTA
2) Coogler
3) Zhao
4) Safdie
5) Trier
Personal pick is Zach Creggers (and I’m not a horror person!) with Objective pick being Del Toro

And I really thought it was going to be great. Was happy to see Michael Keaton back.

I feel like he’s boxed himself into a corner with the whole 10 films thing and now he doesn’t know how to get himself out so he self-destructs.

I don’t know how old you are, but assuredly younger than I am. Anyway, that’s something I struggled with for a long time, but, with time, I’ve cared less and less. Growing your arms and chest can’t be a bad thing though. 😇
