Scotland Loves Anime are also showing Redline (a movie I've only seen once years ago but remember liking) so of course I have to catch that!!! this time I'm going with a more casual cosplay - luckily Fujiko's part 1 outfit is incredibly easy to recreate

I'm not sure if they had an official rule against it but I didn't want to risk getting thrown out so I didn't even try, sorry 😭 when I'll get back from my trip I'll make a post with a rundown of everything Koike talked about at the Q&A so look forward to that at least!!!

I'm so glad the first big piece of Lupin media released after I got into the franchise was ZatTL... the pacing of this movie is perfect, not one of its 54 minutes is wasted, and I can't wait to see what Koike can do with 40 extra minutes

anyway I finally made it to my hotel 😴

it's VERY surreal to be able to go straight from Lie to Two Lupins knowing long-time fans endured a six year wait for the latter lol

Fujiko's Lie is generally considered the weakest of the original trilogy and it's obvious why: it's the only one where Goemon doesn't even have a cameo 😔 it's far from bad though - Bincam is a fun dark subversion of the "monster discovering their humanity" trope

MAN that final battle. I envy everyone who'll get to see it on the big screen in Edinburgh but at the same time it wouldn't be fair for me to experience it when Sof couldn't 😭

I adore how this movie conveys Goemon's state of mind through him taking off his clothes. it activates both my visual storytelling brain and my horny brain
