There is a sick irony, almost certainly lost on her, that Antoinette Sandbach invokes the โright to be forgottenโ to disassociate herself from the legacy of her slaveholder ancestors: slaveholders or erased the personhood of 1000s in the name of profit, who worked to render their stories forgotten.
