astrology is much more than "did you memorize this aspect?" "what did this ancient astrologer say in this specific book?" (which ofc IS important in preserving a scholarly lineage), but if you're going to PRACTICE astrology (different to studying it), you have to be.. a good storyteller.

i think this is where astrology comes thru as a powerful tool - the narratives we tell about our lives, about ourselves, about our experiences, serve as the foothold for what we think is possible for our futures. you just need a damn good guide and storyteller.

there is nothing more powerful, politically, ideologically, personally, historically, theologically, than an emotionally charged narrative. stories are the buildings blocks of our entire existence as humans.

one of the things i've learned in class is that there's nothing more powerful than emotional conviction. all logic and reason go out the door when powerful emotions are involved. probably a DUH kind of statement. it matters less what you say, but how you make people feel.
