Where are all the headlines today showing Evyatar David’s starved body, forced to dig his own grave in Hamas’s tunnels?

Where are all the Instagram stories from celebrities who “can’t stay silent anymore”?

Why doesn’t Evyatar deserve your outrage?

The air drops in Gaza are an elaborate stunt that gives cover to an Israeli project of starvation. They are a drop in the ocean. Serious about stopping this? Demand those eight steps below

The absurdity of a situation in which Prof. Hirsch, a child of Holocaust survivors & a renowned scholar of trauma & memory, wonders whether she can teach Arendt's Eichmann in Jerusalem at Columbia University.

When I pointed out King’s will lose 90% of its AHRC student-led places under the new scheme, I got piled on by the AHRC Chair claiming I was wrong and scaremongering.

It wasn’t quite 90%.

This year King’s students got 27 AHRC student-led scholarships.

Next year they’re giving us 3.

So 89% then.

I think the comments in the replies are spot on! Even if a plenary is focused on something quite narrow/specific, I think it should say something about ‘where we are now’ in relation to the conference theme (ideally mentioning talks/discussion at the conference!) and ‘where we should go next’.

But I LOVE hearing new stuff, the you-heard-it-here-first vibe, breaking news, especially if there's an acknowledgement of the labour of scholarship, a long story with a happy ending! And sometimes a plenary who is willing to speak out and speak up for shared values or burning concerns 3/3

Vehicles of propaganda: analysis uncovers new secrets in Tudor Bibles Specialist heritage science techniques have unearthed new secrets hidden within 16th-century Great Bibles, once owned by Henry VIII and his chief minister Thomas Cromwell.

Great write-up about the historic exhibition & analysis by the wonderful ‪@hips-project.bsky.social‬ team of 2 Great Bibles @qmul.bsky.social @theul.bsky.social

Charmed that amidst all cool science instruments, "putting the two books in the same place" proves actually a superhelpful analytical tool
