I picked this book up because I felt I didn't know nearly enough about the queer community's history, especially the AIDS epidemic. This book passed my expectations. I'm actually bawling my eyes out rn. 6/5.
The phrase “if you cared, you would [remember, notice, be on time, listen, etc]” is so funny because I care so much it hurts but I can’t just change the behavior because that’s not how my brain works.
And by “so funny” I mean “utterly devastating.”
