Having to block or discard one card every single turn cycle is so much more toxic than having to, say, deal with one frostbite per turn. The community at large would have revolted.

Provoke as a hero power would have been ultimate cancer, how can FaB be fun if you almost never get to have a full turn. Trading life for a full grip of cards should be considered one of a FaB player's fundamental rights.

We're in the middle of PQ season. It sounds like you do enjoy FaB, just not this meta specifically.

If I were a competitive player (I most certainly am not), I might feel likewise; my favorite archetype (Ice) is dead in the water right now.

Not every game is for everyone. We'd love to have you, but this game is played in person and we try to respect each other.

So I guess the question is how do we go from that premise to the problem you're experiencing? You've clearly played it, but still feel the game is too simple.

First advice is don't insult the entire community.

The game is nearly entirely about 1v1 arena combat and adapting to every fresh hand of cards. It's been compared to fighting games in terms of tempo and play style. Victory is achieved though incremental advantages over many turns.

Shelter at Rare was the real answer, it's pretty telling that (absolutely?) nobody is running Calming Breeze

Friends, I really like RKO. It's the most fun I've had playing a new deck since Tales of Aria. Please don't hate him 🥲

He can block well, loves to pitch stack, can handle arcane damage and can be defensive or aggressive. Loves rolling Scabskins. Never draws cards. Blues are flexible. Don't hate.

The other two cases definitely were more sedated than this, but I still nabbed a CF Brute L gloves and an RF Fable 😅 so I guess that's "relatively" more sedate.

So far the SUP opening experience is much more enjoyable than SEA was. I've got very nearly a full playset of NF super rares already.
