Wikigacha.com is turning out to be great fun.
Map Map by @pipapogames.bsky.social. The final demo I managed to squeeze in and I'm so glad I did! If you enjoy Geoguessr, try it. Haven't played anything quite like it before and with fun side objectives and treasures to find too! store.steampowered.com/app/2702260/...
Towers Saga by @wiseupgames.bsky.social. I don't know how to describe it other than cylindrical Tetris, but that was more than enough for me. Really fun and addictive and a good level of challenge! store.steampowered.com/app/3709030/...
The Witch's Bakery by @sunnylabgames.bsky.social. Delightful bakery management game with Persona-type life sim elements and really intriguing worldbuilding, can't wait to see more! store.steampowered.com/app/2967950/...
Wanderburg by @randwerk.com. Katamari + Vampire Survivors + Mortal Engines. Loved it. store.steampowered.com/app/3624140/...
Whisk by Double Dusk. At first I quite liked it, but then it turned out speedrunning was the real gameplay, and I loved it! Played it for hours with my bestie trying to get the best times and looking up the leaderboards for strats. Really great fun. store.steampowered.com/app/3602270/...
Garden Ink by @kranich-games.bsky.social. Such an adorable an interesting take on merge and relaxing/idle-ish games. Loved it. store.steampowered.com/app/3421740/...

Orrb by my former colleague Michael! One of those really cool minimalist puzzle games where you get stuck for ages then feel silly when you finally solve it :D store.steampowered.com/app/1822180
I didn't get to play all 80-something demos I downloaded during Steam Next Fest, but I did play quite a few :D Here's my favourites to watch out for!
Psst, don't forget to check out Vacuubot that I'm working on with my friends at @arkado.bsky.social ! store.steampowered.com/app/2993240/...

We're doing a study into the Cornish game industry.
This survey is inclusive of all industry game businesses, students, job seekers, freelancers, and non-developer industry workers! It will help us find support for #gamedev

So thrilled to see this, Kendrick’s work has been overlooked for far too long!
Could you imagine if they put in any of the Rampage novels though? lol
We did it! VacuuBot: Home Cleaning Simulator has been announced!
Thanks to @wearesecretmode.com for having us as a part of #CozyQuest25

There few events or studios, and without remote roles I may not be in games at all as I can’t leave Cornwall at the moment, nor do I want to, I love it here! ❤️ I’m one of the rare lucky ones to get into this biz, not due to lack of skill or talent of others, and it’s so sad to see them stuck. 4/4
I appreciate organisations like Into Games helping inner city folk to break into the industry, but while I may be biased being from Cornwall, getting into the industry from underfunded rural areas (where many people are working class) is extremely hard. Even with a games uni on my doorstep. 3/4
Another major problem is the availability of jobs and the lengths you need to go to get a job in the UK. It’s still crazy to me that people can be expected to move across the country and away from their loved ones for roles that could be done just as well remotely. It’s all done on PCs anyway! 2/4
The same could be said for adjacent industries too but yes. Getting into games is very expensive monetarily (uni, other courses, events, travel, PC to make the games on etc) and time-wise as learning game dev can take a while and games can take a while to make! 🧵1/4

I’m only a designer so I don’t know about the technical workings but I am all in favour of the movement. I support the preservation of media and remember in the 00s that a lot of games had community run servers. So it just seems like a great idea to me!
So bizarre. I got on the train, opened blue sky, and this was the first post to pop up! Really nice to meet you and thanks for walking me back ☺️ Safe travels!
Holy moly, @developconference.com was amazing! It was my first Develop and first trip to Brighton and I really couldn’t have asked for more. I am so grateful that I got to meet so many lovely people from all corners of the industry and learn so much from them ❤️ The parties were pretty fun too 😄

That worked thanks so much!
Thank you! Just found out about this event through coworkers and I'd love to go!
