Scientists can be classified as either Foxes or Hedgehogs; borrowing Isaiah Berlin’s famous use of the saying that “a fox knows many things, but a hedgehog knows one big thing”
Hedgehogs: Darwin, Monod, McClintock, Dawkins, Kimura..
Foxes: Wallace, Jacob, Brenner, Gould, Ohta..
The fate of T cells, such as seen in exhausted T cells, is tied to nutrients. This introduces the potential of therapies directed at keeping T cell identity and function intact. (And the infamous Krebs cycle makes a comeback to my brain)
