Medium-term, it would be worthwhile ST evaluating if taking all or nearly all ops staffing in-house is achievable and more cost-effective. It’s worth noting that ST has been way overcharged by other transit agencies. So, I’d presume working toward in-house would save a lot on expenses

Another way for the Democratic base to use its power and channel its anger right now would be to launch a loud and aggressive “withhold your donations” campaign until Senate Democrats change their tactics and Schumer resigns.
