While the President continues to act independently of Congress, the fact is: it is unconstitutional to go to war without Congressional authorization. I am pushing the Administration to prioritize reaching a diplomatic solution as quickly as possible.

I am closely monitoring what is a rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East. As we watch the fallout from the President’s strikes spread across the region, my top priority is keeping American troops and civilians in the Middle East safe.

President Trump literally promised no new wars and campaigned against forever wars, and now he’s doing the exact opposite — putting Minnesota service members in harm’s way.

This should send chills down the spine of every American.

Commissioner says HCMC could close as expenses continue to rise Those representing Hennepin Healthcare are asking state lawmakers to address the financial situation at HCMC.

The closure of HCMC would devastate the Minnesota health care community and make care inaccessible for Minnesotans all across the state.

This is a direct consequence of Trump’s health care cuts. Minnesota deserves better.

This week, House Republicans rolled back energy efficiency standards that lower costs for Minnesotans. Republicans claim they are focused on lowering the cost of living, but their actions tell a different story. It’s time for them to stop playing politics and start making life more affordable in MN.

As early as this week, the Senate could vote on whether to roll back environmental protections for the Boundary Waters.

The BWCA is one of Minnesota’s most prized natural resources and we must preserve it for future generations.

Instead of holding fraudsters accountable, they’ve targeted immigrants, seniors, farmers and working Minnesotans.

Today marks the 5-year anniversary of the Equality Act passing the House. As the first openly lesbian mother and wife elected to Congress, this bill will always hold a special place in my heart.

We will not let up until all Minnesotans have equal protection under the law.

President Trump continues to tell us ICE is leaving Minnesota. But there are still hundreds of agents in our state.

We’ll believe the talk of a drawdown when we see it. And we won’t stop pushing for accountability until we get it.

Today I conducted an oversight visit at the Whipple building. We were required to give 7 days notice. When we arrived, ICE had moved every detainee out of the facility. They don’t want us to see what’s really going on here. I won't stop pushing to hold ICE accountable. Minnesotans deserve answers.

Fire damages Renee Good memorial in south Minneapolis, City Council member says The memorial for Renee Good, who was killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, was set on fire Tuesday night, a Minneapolis City Council member said.

Last night the memorial for Renee Good was set on fire and destroyed.

Renee’s family and the Minneapolis community deserve the chance to mourn her.

This is unacceptable and we must hold anyone involved in this hateful incident accountable.
