A counter with various items all over it, sugar container, glasses, French press, measuring cups, and a dirty spoon resting directly on the counter instead of on the ceramic holder right next to the spoon. The ceramic holder was bought specifically for spoon resting purposes.

I spent several days last week cleaning and reorganizing the kitchen counter and cupboards. Spouse for his part bought a spoon/spatula holder so he wouldn’t get coffee and various sauces on the counter anymore. This is how I found it the other day…

We called him "Invader" and a few days before he died, he let us bring him inside finally. We took him to the vet and they said he just wanted a warm safe place for his final days. Sweet baby.
