Lift Lebanon Emergency Relief As I write this, Lebanon is under a barrage of attacks from the Zionist entity. The south of the country, the Bekaa and the capital, Beirut, are all being hit continuously and indiscriminately. This a...

Intense airstrikes. Forced evacuations. More than 100,000 people have been uprooted from their homes in a matter of days, many of whom are seeking safety in makeshift shelters, worried about what the future holds. Your support enables me to help communities facing sudden and extreme hardship.

Migrant Domestic Workers Left Vulnerable by War, Here’s How You Can Help As war forces thousands of people in Lebanon to flee their homes, migrant domestic workers are often left out of the conversation.

I wanted to make a separate post for this but for now

Imagine having Bruce Springsteen AND Billy Bragg release songs about how much you fucking suck and how much the people fighting you rule you within the same 48 hours

When they say "reach you where you are" and "honest journalism" they mean "we want to be your new right-wing echo chamber so orange daddy doesn't come after us"

If I won the lottery, I'd for sure take care of my family and friends ... support animal shelters... What I'd really like to do is meaningfully support creators - musicians, visual artists, spicy content, etc - if you make things for the world, you should be able to thrive in it too.

Wife saw that Weird Al will be in Winnipeg next year with Puddles Pity Party and we agreed that we must go. We missed out on a Ghost show in Minneapolis due to the US's xenophobic nonsense and not wanting to risk anything happening at the border to her or the child - this will help us heal.

I have no beef with Seattle & feel for Mina, but you're right, commish. Things are unimaginably bad right now and it feels like my move to πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦ in '23 to be with my wife was escaping danger. Now we don't feel safe traveling to πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ and don't want to spendπŸ’²there. I think the Jays deserve a WS dub.

My comment to ABC:

Brand: ABC
Shows: Jimmy Kimmel Live
Category: Suggestion
Description: I'm horrified & saddened that ABC has chosen to cave to heavy-handed, authoritarian threats & take Kimmel off the air. It's a strong society that can disagree publicly with its leaders; you've just weakened us.

Inspired by @datlow.bsky.social & @thehighsign.bsky.social, I just submitted a comment on ABC's decision re: Kimmel.

A golden-mantled ground squirrel standing upright on the hiking path at Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada A golden-mantled ground squirrel on all fours atop a mossy portion of a stone cliff face and a tree branch at Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada A golden-mantled ground squirrel leaning over a stone cliff face to examine a tourists's outstretched hand with palm upward at Johnston Canyon, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

Very weird that visiting the most American redneck province has allowed me to enjoy natural wonders, escape devastating wildfire smoke and rekindle my appreciation for seeing the world

Have some golden-mantled ground squirrels from Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park

it's very fitting that caring about others and wanting inclusion and the same rights/privileges/comforts is woke when people who hate other people having things are so asleep:
living in dreamland, unaware of how they are being used and hurt by inequality, greed and corruption

I've been really struggling with how to interact/engage with/trust others since the world moved on like covid never happened and it's like I don't want to be this isolated but I don't know how not to be πŸ™ƒ

how does one make friends with like-minded sad people who are gravely concerned about the state of things, overwhelmed and also not wanting to acquire infections by being near others

Begging companies to let people opt out of marketing for specific holidays
some of us find being reminded of those days traumatizing - or we have no use for them (ex. My mom died in 1985)

Thanks! It's one thing to be unable to have children when you want them. Quite another when you don't want them πŸ˜‚ I'm glad there are lads like you normalizing and detoxifying the idea of having bollocks and making reproductive choices for yourself. Exercising bodily autonomy is not emasculating.
