My newest watercolour painting, first in a very long time!

This "quick" little shell took ~12 hours at only 5x7 inches 🫠 I will forever love watercolours, but to layer in the way I do will simply never be time efficient

That's a great idea! I keep a digital list of ideas/subjects, but it's definitely only part of the planning.

Unfortunately swatches have to be done by mixing colours in real time, but sometimes I can do that in my head too :)

I spend a lot of time during the day dreaming about doing art, and then hoping I'm not too exhausted by the time I get home to actually make it happen 😵‍💫

Some family stuff has necessitated short notice cross country travel (read - expensive) now is a perfect time to commission a painting from me. Cats, dogs, birds, horses, send them my way!

Paper matters the most, if you ask me! I'd choose cheap paint and good paper over the reverse any day

Do I make the brave step into oils today? The itch is so strong, I think it feels right 🔮✨️🎱
