Why, in the year of our lord 2025, are we not able to search for hotel rooms in the US by number of beds? If I'm traveling with a friend I want to search for "one room, two people, two beds". I was able to search hotel rooms in Japan this way and it was so helpful.

The other day I complimented someone’s knitting project and she said “did you knit everything on your body?” I was shocked to realize, yes! I knitted the hat, scarf, and hoodie I was wearing. It was THRILLING. 💖 I’m going to spend 2025 chasing that high and knitting more things to wear.

My entire instagram feed is ads for fancy dog food. I don’t know how I got there, but I hate it. My dogs eat well. I buy the food from the local shop down the street. We are GOOD. I block them and a new company pops up… at least it’s making it easier for me to close the app.

I cataloged my vinyl on Discogs recently and posted a few for sale based on their estimated price, and one just sold for $100. So obviously I’m off to post more for sale!

Small things that make me happy:
Scented lotion
Hearing wind in the trees
Watching birds in the snow
Knitting while watching BBC shows
A hot shower before bed
Watching my dogs play
Laughing with friends

I found wool and cotton blend name brand buttondowns and a designer silk buttondown ($5, original list price $500) last time I went thrifting. Better for my wallet, better for the environment, plus you get the thrill of the find.

This California boy is not a fan of the snow and he cannot believe it’s still there today. If anyone needs him, he’ll be on his heating pad taking a nap.
