I like it a lot! You're selling yourself short. Shading is always optional, when I started out I just didn't do shading at all and it works, just a matter of style.

I've been in a bit of a drawing slump the past few months (and also still want to write reviews for #booksky but just didn't do it yet), but yesterday I just sat down and doodled a mushroom picking dwarf, because that's what I did on friday!

I love the #RedRising series by #PierceBrown and had been wanting to draw something from it for a while. I tried drawing Kavax with Sophocles but really wasn't happy with the result, so I tried for a fox again. I'm really happy with how his face turned out, so that's the part I'm sharing 🤭

Thanks for chiming in! I checked out the hashtag and have to agree, most of the posts are either pictures of books with few words or just quotes. I just want to share my thoughts on recently read books and this is my favourite social network.

I've been thinking about posting book related stuff on here, just seems like the format is not quite suited for it. Reviews would have to be an external link, because 300 characters really isn't that much. Anyone thoughts on that?

I totally get that! Personally I deleted my X when all the... stuff happened. I only use BlueSky and Insta now. I'm "lucky" to have like 40 followers on Insta anyway, so I actually get more likes from hashtags on here. I know lots of creators with thousands of Insta followers who get ~7 likes here.

In hopes of more people actively participating because all the major ones are owned by horrible people.

It's sad that it's still so quiet and established communities won't usually join though.

I applied my new found knowledge about watercolors to a motive of my choice and went for #PaulAtreides portrayed by #TimothéeChalamet in #Dune. I wasn't really happy at first but it has grown on me and I can learn from the things that aren't perfect!

Following a tutorial by Ludmila Blum on the Tombow website I used my watercolor markers the way they're supposed to be... with water! And blending! I'm very happy with the result 😊
