Against the spirit of the game but well within the spirit of speedrunning. As for the former I believe you described yourself as pro cheating - I’d describe myself as pro death of the artist, so I think we have some alignment there

right, the scope of my concern is singleplayer only. I think in a casual play of oblivion it’s cheating to dupe items, but I think speedruns of all types have a place, you need some fucked up any% so that glitchless can be an appeal to watch/run and vice versa

Probably, but a lot of these things become accepted as flavor or even disciplines of their own, so cheating I find to be a hefty term to describe it. Bunny hopping is a glitch, and for me it’s impossible to imagine gaming without it
