"The prime minister hasn't approved a pipeline" would be a stronger argument if anyone was proposing to build a pipeline.

Ontario, Nova Scotia sign deal to allow direct-to-consumer alcohol sales | CBC News Producers of beer, wine and spirits will be able to start applying Tuesday to the province's liquor corporation for authorizations to do direct-to-consumer sales, a process the premiers say will only ...

If Doug Ford cared about the people of Ontario half as much as he cares about alcohol sales, maybe we wouldn’t have 2.5 million people searching for a family doctor in this province.

Oh well. Bottoms up, everyone!

ANALYSIS | Mexico made 'high-risk bet' in taking down cartel boss El Mencho | CBC News After tracking El Mencho’s lover to his lair, Mexican special forces launched an operation by air and land, leading to two shootouts that left the drug boss mortally wounded.

I'd like to read more explainers like this from Canadian outlets, and fewer stories about how retirees from Calgary are upset about disruptions to their vacations / flights

Ontario cities fight to end Enbridge’s ‘free ride’ on public land as agreements come up for renewal For decades, the gas utility has run pipelines beneath the roads and parks in Guelph — and many other Ontario municipalities — without paying a cent to the cities hosting the infrastructure. Municipal...

I wasn’t aware.
Those are exactly the kind of indirect subsidies that distort energy markets towards fossil gas.

Over the last years there has been a huge overrepresentation of the french speakers category, if you ask me.
They drew profiles in the French category all the way to the bottom, while PR perspectives for candidates from other targeted professions are still out of reach.
I hope they pivot noticeably

Hey Canucks, another important petition requiring ALL federal party leaders to hold a top-secret security clearance.
Canada faces increasing national security risks and candidates are targets for foreign interference.
They must put Canada first!!

Canadian journalist David Cochrane said it best “"America isn't the way it is because he's president. He's president because America is the way it is."

It’s nothing but a platform to generate social media content. No viable substance behind it.
I think it needs to be reformed in a way that they can’t exploit the procedure for content.
Perhaps pivoting to a written procedure such as a freedom of information request can be a potential answer.

His approval ratings among his people are still much better compared to most other western leaders.

Perhaps that’s what it needs to finally defend Doug.
Nate is a good guy and the weaker the NDP is, the higher are the chances Doug gets defeated!

The carrot and stick approach worked well in other places of the world and it’s a good time to pivot policy wise.
Im looking forward to the details!

Question period is just a pathetic circus. We should get rid of it.
It’s not working anymore.

Activate climate’s ‘silent majority’ to supercharge action, experts say Making concerned people aware their views are far from alone could unlock the change so urgently needed

A huge 89% majority of global people [56% even in the United States] want stronger action to fight the #ClimateCrisis, but mistakenly believe they’re in a minority.

The “silent majority” for #ClimateAction needs to get loud.

People want action. Smart cities need to go much further, much faster.

Perhaps. Perhaps not…
What difference does it make?
48 or 52%, or whatever number it realistically was; every number above 10-20% for such a person is absolutely pathetic for a society.

Furthermore, Trump still polls better among his people than almost all western leaders among theirs.

I feel sincerely sorry for everybody loosing their job in this industry. It’s only getting worse before it can get any better.
There is no scenario where US car companies provide a prosperous future for CA workers.
We have to rip off the band aid and build a future with other partners.

The patterns are fascinating.

This entire Crown Royal saga is just pathetic and childish.
So much time and political leverage wasted on this topic in the middle of such serious times.

Nova Scotia is moving ahead on offshore wind — with experienced European developers stepping up. 🇨🇦🌬️

Real Energy Leadership: Faster to build, lower cost, local jobs.

#Ontario could do this too — instead of locking in expensive nuclear. 😒 #onpoli

I agree with you.
However, I should mention Germany scrapped this system that was about a decade ago.
Furthermore, it was only applicable to men.
They are discussing to bring a similar service back.

That’s what we are wondering everyday.
Why the heck don’t they start a general strike!

In Georgia, Serbia, Iran, etc. enormous numbers of people are protesting. Everyday.
Those small protests in the US are far from that (per capita).
It is utterly pathetic.
