b) can't believe how long this footage turned out! I was shooting from a monopod and did a solid 120 degrees of rotation

The picture shows a species of carpenter bee (Xylocopa virginica) in close-up, sitting on a branch with numerous small, light-colored flowers. The bee's body is predominantly black, with the upper part of the back displaying a bright yellow, densely hairy coloration. Its transparent wings shimmer with a bluish tint. The branch on which the bee is sitting is covered with many flower clusters, consisting of small, pearl-like, white to creamy flowers. The background is blurred.
